With a long list of food sources, as well drying techniques, winter meals, "gourmet feasting"- how to dine really well on the trail without carrying unnecessary equipment; baking such delicacies as cheddar cheese biscuits and spiced coffee cake, as well as "good eating on a bootlace", and suggested menus for all the seasons; outdoor breakfasts, snacks, and even emergency food. With some illustrations, general rules of thumb, and all sorts of techniques and hints for campers and backpackers of every level.
