A pair of enamel ladles for cooking and serving. One, a classic soup/sauce ladle with a deep bowl and a long handle, and the other a large skimmer for soups, noodles, and boiled anything. With a matching rack for hanging and display. Made the traditional way, by fusing layers of powdered glass onto steel at temperatures reaching over 1400 F.
These ladles are heavy, with a lovely, satisfying heft that is achieved by a labor intensive process involving four individual layers of enamel, which are baked between each coat in tremendous kilns.
Each spoon is formed from one large sheet of steel, so that there no joins, seams or weak points.
With its smooth surface and solid feel, true porcelain-enamel such as this is non-porous and therefore extremely hygienic. These ladles are made using hydro-electric power from a large stream that runs past the 200 year old, family run factory.
Skimmer: 16" x 4.75", Ladle: 13" x 3.25", Hanging Rack: 9" x .75". Two screws for hanging included.
Stovetop, oven and dishwasher safe.
Made in Austria.
